Mother Teresa said, “To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it.” Most women are so busy filling the lamps of the people they love that they let their own lamps run low. They spend so much time and energy taking care of their children, husbands, aging parents, friends, neighbors, bosses, coworkers, and others, that they often neglect themselves.
This new book, Oil for Your Lamp, is about women learning to take care of themselves first – not last. Written by “Femail Creations” catalog founder Lisa Hammond and inspirational author, poet, and storyteller BJ Gallagher, this wonderful new book speaks to women of all ages, from all walks of life. Here at Simple Truths, we celebrate women who light up the world … and we want to lovingly remind them to keep their own lamps filled. Oil for Your Lamp is the perfect book for women who want to glow, sparkle, shine, and dazzle!

Simple Truths philosophy: There is one thing in life that took me a long time to learn, and that’s… less is almost always more. This “simple truth” is the foundation on which our company was built. I wanted to create beautiful gift books that anyone can read in less than thirty minutes.
To make each book special, we focused on three things: Great content, Great graphics, Great packaging to create a “wow effect”
We also chose not to offer our books in any bookstores or any retail outlets, to make it even more special as a gift.
Satisfied customers are our #1 priority, so I encourage you to give us feedback on how we’re doing. If we ever disappoint you, I hope you’ll let us know, and we will do everything we can to make it right.

Ken Blanchard, author of the “One Minute Manager” first heard One Solitary Life at the end of the Christmas pageant at the Crystal Cathedral in Orange, California. He says this:
“The first time I heard One Solitary Life, it hit me like a ton of bricks. It put in perspective that all of the pushing in life for wealth, power and status doesn’t really mean anything. What really matters is what you do for others.”
Through some digging he found that the story came from a powerful essay from a 1926 sermon by James A. Francis depicting the life, journey and message of Jesus. No other man, army or movement has affected the people on this earth as much as his “One Solitary Life.”
Years later Ken met with Mac Anderson, founder of Simple Truths, and the project went into motion and we are proud to offer you this classic story beautifully laid out in a gift book you will be proud to give as well as a movie that will help you put your life into perspective and feel renewed and blessed.
Ken Blanchard writes a powerful foreword and offers meaningful reflections about how Jesus made a difference with his life… and what we can do with ours

All of us have a vision of what we want our life to be, but few of us know how to actually make those dreams a reality. Luckily, John Maxwell shares his 40 years of expertise in his book, Own Your Dreams. John lays out the most common roadblocks people encounter in achieving their dreams and then shows you how to clarify and build your dreams for the future.
“I’ve known hundreds of high-profile people who achieved big dreams. And I’ve achieved a few dreams of my own. What I’ve discovered is that a lot of people have misconceptions about dreams.
A genuine dream is a picture and blueprint of a person’s purpose and potential. Or as my friend Sharon Hull says, “A dream is the seed of possibility planted in the soul of a human being, which calls him to pursue a unique path to the realization of his purpose.”
As an internationally recognized leadership expert, speaker and author who has sold more than 16 million books, John has spent the last 40 years studying successful people. In Own Your Dreams, he will show you how to secure your dreams and overcome the most common roadblocks to making your dreams a reality.
